The Hostal Rural Ioar is surrounded by some awesome spots to walk to, whilst giving free reign to your imagination. Experience moments of peace and tranquillity, enjoying a SUNSET across the immense natural solarium of St Gregorio Ostiense and its spectacular, primitive landscape interspersed with monoliths created by a blind, giant sculptor … nature itself. This strategic spot is the great balcony of the Ebro valley.

Nature
In these clock-watching, mortgage-worrying times, enjoy a relaxing stay and feel the connection with nature in order to refocus on the essentials in life and recover a part of you that has been lost. In this respect we are in a privileged position, surrounded by holm oak and pine woods, and centuries old olive fields. Just 3 minutes away by car you can visit what is considered to be one of the oldest trees in the whole of Spain, the millenarian “three footed” holm oak at Mendaza. Declared to be the oldest living tree in 2007 by the Directorate General of Biodiversity and the Association of Woods without Frontiers.
Within a 5 minute radius by car, guests can enjoy the municipal swimming pool of Mues, the sports centre and municipal pool of Murieta or the municipal pool of Los Arcos. We can enjoy the natural park of Urbasa-Andía which is only 30 minutes away. Millions of years ago the relief of a plateau known as Zunbeltz o Lazarraga changed for ever. There was a huge tectonic subsidence which caused the opening of a big corridor between the already known mountains ranges of Urbasa and Andía. Between the Atlantic Navarra and the Mediterranean one, there is a wide Natural Park in the West of the region of Navarra. Fields and lush beech forests coexist in this protected idyllic landscape, whose south border falls abruptly into Amescoas Valley, acting as a stunning natural viewpoint of the source of Urederra River.
